From the Principal

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and share my excitement about my appointment as the new principal at Saint Francis Xavier Elementary School.  This school has a reputation of excellence and I feel so very fortunate and privileged to be joining a school culture focused on student learning, a commitment to high expectations, innovation and collaboration.  It is my intent to continue to carry out these important traditions and practices.  I would like to build on the same reputation here at Saint Francis Xavier School and invite you to help us determine what is best for your child. I would like to share some information about my educational background and professional experience.

After graduating from High School, I joined the Missionary Sisters of Christ the King Congregation. Then I attended Cardinal Wyszynski University in Poland.  After receiving my Master’s degree in Theology, I was working with children and youth in various schools. I taught for eight years in Poland before my move to Chicago.  In the U.S. I spent seven years as Administrator at St. Blasé Polish Catholic School in Chicago while also pursuing my certification in  the Doctor of Ministry Program at Catholic Theological Union.  I also had the pleasure of establishing, organizing and teaching at Good Shepherd Preschool at Lombard, IL.

Together with the school staff and administration, my goal as your Principal is to provide the leadership that will facilitate a school environment, which provides the best possible academic instruction, meeting the needs of each student to the best of our ability. While I believe that academics is a very important part of education, I also believe that teaching the love of Christ with morals and values is vital in developing the “whole” child in mind, body and spirit.  I am excited that we have the opportunity here at St. Francis to touch the lives of many children and teach them about the love of Jesus through community and diversity.

I look forward to be a part of a warm, safe and caring school environment and working together with each of you this year.  Please feel free to call, email or stop by for a visit.  If you have questions or concerns, pleased do not hesitate to contact me. I am eager to meet my new family, and together I invite you to help us create a great and blessed upcoming school year for our students.

Sincerely,

Sr. Dorota Domin, Missionary Sister of Christ the King, Principal
